Customer spotlight: Attleboro, MA

The Attleboro School District used SunPower® technology to convert unused roof space with solar to offset approximately 75% of their district’s electricity.

“Not only will the district save millions over the life of the system, through our agreement, we are promoting the development of solar power and setting a great example for our nearly 6,000 students.”

- Marc Furtado, Director of Finance, Attleboro Public Schools

Greater savings with the SMART solar incentive

In 2018, Massachusetts will introduce the Solar Massachusetts Renewable Target (SMART) incentive, which offers fixed incentives for up to 20 years on qualifying solar projects. The SMART program includes an “adders” feature, providing higher incentives for solar installations with desirable characteristics—such as rooftops and carports that provide efficient use of space, behind-the-meter systems, and energy storage. Review the SMART Factsheet developed by the SunPower team in Massachusetts for essential information about the program.
